Professor Anne Kelso AO

Recent CEO of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC)

Anne's previous career was in biomedical research with leadership roles as Director of the CRC for Vaccine Technology (based at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research) and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza (based at the Doherty Institute).

She holds an honorary professorial appointment at the University of Melbourne. At NHMRC, she oversaw a major reform of the agency’s grant program with the introduction of Investigator, Synergy and Ideas Grants among other changes.
