Misogyny, racism and violent extremism in Australia
Gendered and racist attitudes can predict support for various forms of violent extremism. University of Melbourne researchers have found a causal link between misogynistic and racist attitudes and support for seven forms of violent extremism in Australia. Understanding this relationship can enable governments and security agencies to better prevent and respond to the threat of violent extremism.
