Helping farmers survive drought
Less than 70 per cent of distributed irrigation water reaches farms – lost in transit through leakage, seepage, evaporation and measurement errors. As part of a long-term partnership with us, Rubicon Water has developed a much-needed system for automating irrigation, enabling up to 90 per cent of distributed water reach farms. The collaboration has also helped transform Rubicon from start-up to a publicly listed company, helping increase their impact globally.

Enabling better, data driven decisions for developing infrastructure
Digital twin technology – creating a digital representation of a physical space, including past, present and future scenarios – is being used around the world to address the complex challenges of changing urban environments. In partnership with the Victorian government, the University of Melbourne has developed a digital twin for Australia’s largest urban renewal project, Fishermans Bend. A live test-bed for location intelligence technologies – such as augmented and virtual reality, together we’re helping modernise urban planning in Australia.

Type of partnership: Proof-of-concept project with state government
The partnership between ICC, Land Use Victoria and Melbourne City Council led by the University of Melbourne has provided valuable insights for projects such as the Fishermans Bend digital twin proof of concept.
