Made possible, together

Partnering with your organisation to transition to clean energy

Collaborate with us to create innovative solutions

The importance of eradicating carbon and achieving net-zero emissions is at a critical point in Australia and globally.

We work with communities, businesses and governments to co-design practical solutions for the challenges in moving to clean and renewable energies, integrating new technologies, and bringing society along with us.

Whether you’re a solo operator, work in a large business, or in government, we work with individuals and organisations across the full energy ecosystem and want to collaborate with you.

By combining your insights and experience with our expertise in both research and technology, together we can create bold solutions that address some of the world's most pressing energy challenges.

Helping farmers survive drought

Less than 70 per cent of distributed irrigation water reaches farms – lost in transit through leakage, seepage, evaporation and measurement errors. As part of a long-term partnership with us, Rubicon Water has developed a much-needed system for automating irrigation, enabling up to 90 per cent of distributed water reach farms. The collaboration has also helped transform Rubicon from start-up to a publicly listed company, helping increase their impact globally.

  • Impact: Farms worldwide are surviving drought, increasing crop yields, and saving billions of litres of water each year
  • Innovation: Total Channel Control® – a system for automating irrigation
  • Partner: Rubicon Water
  • Partnership approach: Jointly developed IP

Supporting renewables through improved wind forecasting

Wind is a key source of renewable energy, but its variable nature can be hard to forecast. In close collaboration, Meridian Energy Australia (MEA) and the University of Melbourne have developed and implemented a real-time wind forecasting system that can be integrated into existing systems and processes. With support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), the ongoing project is helping the uptake of renewables into the market, while also reducing emissions, costs and maintaining system security.

Impact: Increased uptake of renewables, greater efficiency, emissions reduction, system security

Innovation: An improved and integrated wind forecasting system

Partner: Meridian Energy Australia

Type of partnership: Ongoing research project
