The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Graduate & International Research) is responsible for leadership and oversight of policy, strategy, and implementation of research training programs and international research relationships. The University’s PhD and MPhil programs embrace a wide range of forms of research, and are conducted not only on campus but in conjunction with many institutions in the precinct, in Australia, and overseas. These research training programs are a complement to the University’s international research relationships, which bring the strengths of multiple institutions in different countries and cultures to tackle major research challenges. The PVC(GIR) supports the activities that ensure that these programs continue to be of the highest standard, and that they reflect local, national, and international frameworks and priorities.
