Thomas Jacobs is a graduate student at the University of Melbourne studying Urban Planning. He holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science, with minors in Communications and Community Leadership from Iowa State University in the United States. Thomas’ areas of focus in planning are within health, housing and community engagement.
Thomas has experience working for multiple non-profit organisations including Launch Housing, a Melbourne based housing organisation aimed at ending homelessness. Thomas also has international experience in the field of city planning, with previous planning positions held at the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri in the United States, as well as Moreland City Council in Melbourne.
Thomas’ master’s thesis focuses on the implementation of health planning policy and seeks to understand the impact that non-governmental organisations have on health planning policy in Victoria.
